Bhikkhus, what is right concentration?

Bhikkhus, a bhikkhus in this Training, Free from sensuality, Free from unwholesome dhammas, Enters the first peering with noting and experiencing, there is the contentment and joy born of solitude, and dwells therein; Due to the calming away of noting and experiencing, Enters the second peering which is the mind's clarity within, makes the singular concentration appear, free of noting and experiencing, with only the contentment and joy born of concentration, and dwells therein; Due to the fading away of contentment, Dwells in equanimity, with mindfulness and ready wisdom, Experiences joy through the "mental body", Of the sort that the Noble Ones praise such a one, "Equanimous and mindful he dwells happily". Enter the third peering and dwells therein; Due to leaving [letting go of] joy behind, Leaving dukkha behind, Due to the disappearance of previous feelings of pleasure and pain, Enter the fourth peering, free of both dukkha and sukha, have only the nature of mindfulness purified through equanimity and dwell therein;

Bhikkhus, This is called "right concentration."
